No, it’s not a spelling mistake, it has been like summer in the UK for these last two weeks of May and we’ve been loving it. I just thought I’d write a recap for you all of what’s happened this months, because frankly, there’s been a ton of CHERUB News! We still think you read through all the the articles individually, but we’ve created a little summary for you below.
There are two main things we have posted this month:
1. Our exclusive interview with Robert;
2. News about Robert’s new book- Jet;
Our Interview
We selected the winners of our competition to ask a question to Robert Muchamore and two of them joined us in our interview. There were some very tricky questions for Rob that we got sent, one of them he didn’t even know how to answer!
We hope you enjoyed listening to our interview as much as we liked producing it. It was broadcast on Radio Haide, a local French radio station, on the 19th of May and released on CampusCHERUB.com shortly afterwards. Our particular favourite bits were when he sung us the British National Anthem, and about his time at the Lisbon Book Fayre. We were also amazed when he told us, exclusively, the title of the new Henderson’s Boys book; Scorched Earth.
Jet
We’re very hyped about Rob’s new book, Jet. We can’t tell you much about it, mainly because we don’t know very much, but also because we’re limited to telling you what Rob will allow us due to the fact he doesn’t have a publisher of copyrights yet. However, we have been allowed to reveal a little bit to you, you can read the full article for yourself. But basically, the book is based on a similar idea to CHERUB- that when every kid grows up they want to be a rock star. Some of it is set in Camden, North London, however we’re expecting it to expand out, like CHERUB did- it wasn’t all based in Nebraska House Children’s Home. You can find out all we’ve been allowed to announce, including some small quotes, for yourself, by seeing our short article on it.
Other Information
We’re hoping that the Guardian Angel tour will be announced very soon, it will probably be in the next Official CHERUB Newsletter, it’s not out yet as Rob’s Publicist went on honeymoon, how very inconsiderate! We’re joking of course, we hope that they’re having a great time and wish them a long and prosperous marriage.
Finally, I’d like to inform you all that the Second Annual CHERUB Awards will online this August with a new theme which will be unveiled closer to the time. We’re really excited about this and we’re hoping for even more votes this time!
